United Nations
Sales and Marketing Team - Department of Global Communications, United Nations Headquarters, New York
During my time with the Sales and Marketing Team at the United Nations, I had the opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects that supported the UN’s global communications efforts. My work reached from digital marketing, content creation, event coordination to data analytics, reflecting a comprehensive approach to promoting the UN’s mission and initiatives.
I developed multi-channel marketing campaigns to amplify awareness of key UN initiatives, leveraging web, email, and social media platforms. Managing official accounts across Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, I created engaging content, scheduled posts, utilized strategic hashtags, and monitored audience interactions. These efforts enhanced the UN’s online visibility and strengthened engagement with a diverse global audience. To optimize performance, I developed detailed analytics reports, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve social media strategies.
Content creation was a significant focus of my role. I authored 10+ articles for the UN website and intranet platform iSeek, delivering well-researched and compelling content. I also created and edited newsletters, ensuring clear, impactful communication with stakeholders. Additionally, I supported the development of the SDG Book Club website, contributing to an improved user experience for this educational initiative.
My responsibilities extended to data analysis and reporting. I prepared comprehensive sales and usage trend reports, analyzing metrics such as user demographics, top-performing publications, and SDG-related engagement. This data-driven approach informed strategic decisions for future campaigns and merchandise planning, including high-profile events such as CSW (Commission on the Status of Women), HLPF (High Level Political Forum), and the General Assembly.
Event coordination was another key aspect of my role. I supported the organization of 6+ live events at the UN Headquarters, including the "Meet the Author" series at the UN Bookshop. From logistical planning to on-site assistance and creating live content for the global audience, I ensured smooth execution and a professional experience for attendees. Additionally, I actively provided on-site support of one of the most significant annual gatherings, the General Assembly in September 2024.
This diverse range of responsibilities not only honed my technical and creative skills but also deepened my commitment to the UN’s mission and my passion for marketing and communications. I approached each task with enthusiasm, adaptability, and a global perspective, demonstrating my ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
